Delete an event
Quick answer
Open the event, go to Settings, and scroll to the Danger zone. Tap Delete event, type the event's exact name, and confirm. The event disappears from your dashboard and from every golfer page, and its join codes stop working. An event with paid registrations or donations can't be deleted, and neither can a live event that golfers scored in during the last 24 hours. Use Archive for those.

How to delete an event
Open Settings
Open the event and choose Settings. The Danger zone is the last card on the page. Only managers and admins see it.
Check for a block message
If the event can't be deleted, the reason is shown right in the Danger zone and the Delete event button is greyed out.
Tap Delete event and type the name
Type the event name exactly as it appears, with the same capital letters. The red Delete event button stays off until the name matches.
Confirm
You return to your dashboard and the event is gone from the list.
What blocks a delete
| Situation | Why it is blocked |
|---|---|
| Paid registrations or donations | Money has changed hands. Keep the event so you can refund, export, and report on it. |
| A payment in progress (checkout started in the last 24 hours) | Someone may still finish paying. Try again later, or archive the event. |
| Live event with golfer scores in the last 24 hours | Golfers are playing right now or just finished. Deleting would pull the scoreboard out from under them. |
What happens after you delete
- The event no longer shows on your dashboard, in series lists, or in your team's event picker.
- The event page, leaderboard, recap, registration, and donation pages stop loading for golfers and the public.
- Team and player codes, RSVP links, and sponsor links stop working.
- Scheduled reminders and announcements for the event stop.
- The event is hidden, not wiped. It is kept for a while in case it needs to be recovered, then removed for good. Contact support soon if you deleted by mistake.
Events that were never used (still in Draft) and practice events can be deleted at any time.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a deleted event back?
Deleted events are hidden, not erased right away. Contact support as soon as you can and we will see whether it can be restored.
Why is the Delete event button greyed out?
The event has paid registrations or donations, a payment is still in progress (someone started checking out in the last 24 hours), or it is live and golfers have scored in the last 24 hours. The reason is shown in the Danger zone. Archive the event instead.
What is the difference between Archive and Delete?
Archive keeps the event and all its results, just out of the way. Delete hides the event everywhere, including from golfers.
Who can delete an event?
Admins and managers on your team. Check-in staff cannot.
