Brackets and match play
Quick answer
The Bracket tab supports single-elimination match play. You create a bracket, seed teams or players into matchups, and track results as each round is played. Brackets run separately from the main stroke-play leaderboard.

What the bracket supports
The bracket module handles single-elimination (knockout) match play. Each match has two sides, and the winner advances to the next round. You can run a bracket alongside any stroke-play format — for example, a morning scramble round followed by an afternoon match-play bracket using the top finishers.
Setting up a bracket
Open the Bracket tab
In your tournament dashboard, click the Bracket tab.
Create a bracket
Click the button to create a new bracket. Give it a name if you like.
Seed your entrants
Select teams or players from your tournament to fill the bracket slots. ScrambleSync shows your existing teams and players as candidates.
Track results
After each match is played, record the winner. The bracket advances automatically to the next round.
Frequently asked questions
Can I run more than one bracket for the same tournament?
Yes — you can create multiple brackets. This is useful for events with separate flights or divisions competing in parallel match play.
Do bracket results appear on the main leaderboard?
No — bracket results are shown only in the Bracket tab. The main scoreboard and public leaderboard reflect stroke-play scores only.
