Remove someone's information, or your login
Quick answer
Settings asks you to type an email twice. Matching contacts are deleted. Names and emails become [erased] on registrations, invitation history, players, donations, raffle winners, and the waitlist, and a matching player's phone number and the feedback email are cleared. Financial records are kept, including the payment Stripe keeps. Several other details are not removed. The website does not have a button to delete your organizer login. That control is on the iPhone app.

Erase a person from your events
Open Settings and use Remove someone's personal data. Type the email, then type it again. The form does not run until the two match. It finds that email on your events whether or not the letters match in case. You can submit this five times an hour.
What is deleted
- The matching person is removed from your contacts list, including their name, email, and phone number. That delete runs only when your login belongs to an organization. A login that is not tied to an organization leaves those contacts in place.
What is replaced with [erased] or cleared
These records stay. Only the fields below change. A player is updated only when their email matches. A player who has a phone number but not this email is left as-is.
- Registrations: the name and email become [erased]. The phone number on the registration is not cleared.
- Invitation history: the email saved on each sent invitation becomes [erased]. The invitation record stays.
- Players with that email: the first and last name become [erased], so the player list shows [erased] [erased]. Their email and phone number are cleared. The player stays on the roster.
- Donations: the donor's name and email become [erased]. The gift amount and date stay. A note the donor wrote stays.
- Raffle winners: the winner's name and email become [erased]. The prize record stays.
- Waitlist: the name and email become [erased], and the phone number is cleared. The waitlist spot stays, including any note.
- Feedback: the email address is removed. The written feedback stays.
What this form does not remove
- Financial records are kept. Payment amounts, payment dates, and the Stripe payment ids stored with a registration or donation stay in ScrambleSync. Stripe also keeps the payment. This form does not delete it there.
- The phone number on the registration stays, even after the registration name and email become [erased].
- Answers typed on the registration form stay.
- On a matching player, company, job title, GHIN number, shirt size, and handicap stay.
- The team name on the registration stays.
- A golfer on a series or season roster keeps their name, email, and phone. Substitute names on a series event stay.
- The name on a signed scorecard stays.
- Auction bidder names and contact details stay.
- The name on a hole contest claim stays.
Delete your organizer login
The website Settings page does not delete your login. On the iPhone app, use Delete account and type DELETE to confirm. Deleting your login does not run Remove someone's personal data. If ScrambleSync can confirm you are the only person on the organization, the organization name and contact email become [erased], the organization is closed, and your login is deleted. Events, player lists, registrations, contacts, and payment records are kept. If other people are on the organization, or if that check cannot be completed, only your login is removed — the organization and its events stay.
Frequently asked questions
Can I delete my organizer account on the website?
No. The website Settings page does not delete your login. Deleting your own login is on the iPhone app, where you type DELETE. Settings only removes another person's details, and only the items listed above.
Does this delete the payment in Stripe?
No. Financial records are kept. The amount and date stay in ScrambleSync, and Stripe keeps the payment.
