Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan
Quick answer
You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from Settings → Billing at any time. Use "Change plan" to switch between Pro and Pro + Payments or to switch billing frequency. Use "Manage billing" to cancel — this opens the Stripe Customer Portal where cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Changing your plan
Open Settings → Billing
Sign in and click Settings in the left sidebar, then choose Billing.
Click "Change plan"
This button appears next to "Manage billing" when your account has an active subscription that can be updated. If you don't see it, your plan may not support self-serve changes — contact [email protected].
Select your new plan and cycle
Choose the plan and billing frequency (monthly or annual) you want to switch to.
Confirm
The change takes effect immediately. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the period. If you downgrade, the credit is applied to the next invoice.
Switching from monthly to annual billing
If you're on monthly billing, you'll see a "Save $X/year — Switch to annual & save" prompt at the top of the Billing page. Click it to switch immediately and stop paying month-to-month.
Canceling your subscription
Open Settings → Billing
Sign in and click Settings → Billing.
Click "Manage billing"
This opens the Stripe Customer Portal in a new tab.
Cancel your subscription
In the portal, click "Cancel plan" (wording may vary). Your access continues until the end of the current billing period — you won't be charged again after that.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to my events when I cancel?
Your tournaments and data remain in the system. However, features locked to your plan (such as the ScrambleAI assistant or brackets) will no longer be accessible after the period ends.
Can I get a refund?
We don't offer prorated refunds for cancellations mid-period. If you have a specific billing concern, contact [email protected] and we'll work with you.
I don't see a "Change plan" button — why?
The button only appears for active subscriptions (not Per Event purchases, Charity plans, or canceled subscriptions). If you need help, email [email protected].
