Leaderboard visibility and sharing
Quick answer
The 'Golfer leaderboard' toggle on your Scoreboard tab controls real-time vs. 30-second updates for the public board. The public leaderboard link requires no login and can be shared with anyone — golfers, spectators, or people following from home.

The Golfer leaderboard toggle
At the top of the Scoreboard tab there is a pill-shaped toggle labeled 'Golfer leaderboard on' or 'Golfer leaderboard off'. Clicking it switches the state immediately.
| State | What happens |
|---|---|
| On | The public leaderboard updates in real-time as scores come in via a live channel. Golfers and spectators see changes as they happen. |
| Off | The public leaderboard still loads, but updates every 30 seconds on a polling schedule. Use this if you want to reduce the emphasis on standings during play or reveal the winner at the end. |
Sharing the leaderboard
Once your tournament has a web address set (under Overview → Tournament settings), the Scoreboard tab shows two ready-to-share links:
- Player leaderboard — the public-facing standings page at scramblesync.com/e/[your-slug]/leaderboard. Share this with golfers and spectators. No login needed.
- TV scoreboard — the full-screen wallboard view at scramblesync.com/wallboard/[your-slug]. Open this on any TV or projector.
Frequently asked questions
Can spectators follow along from home?
Yes — the player leaderboard link is fully public. Anyone with the link can view live standings without an account.
Does turning the leaderboard off hide it from golfers on their phone?
The public link still loads with 30-second updates. There is no way to fully block the public URL — if you want to hide standings, avoid sharing the link until after the event.
