Live scoring and the scoreboard
Quick answer
Golfers enter scores on their phone by going to scramblesync.com/play and typing in their team code — no app download needed. Your Scoreboard tab updates automatically as scores arrive, and you can share a public leaderboard link with spectators at any time.

How golfers enter scores
Go to scramblesync.com/play
Golfers open any browser on their phone and visit scramblesync.com/play. No app install required.
Enter the team code
Each team has a unique code (shown on the cart sign or in the join code card). Entering it takes the golfer straight to their team's scoring view.
Submit hole scores
Golfers enter the gross score for each hole after they finish it. For scramble, one team member submits on behalf of the whole team.
Sign the card (if required)
Once all holes are complete, golfers are prompted to sign their digital scorecard. See the Score check and audit log article for more details.
The Scoreboard tab
In your organizer dashboard, open your tournament and click the Scoreboard tab. This shows all teams ranked live. The board refreshes automatically — every 30 seconds by default, or in real-time when the Golfer leaderboard toggle is on.
Golfer leaderboard toggle
At the top of the Scoreboard tab you will see a 'Golfer leaderboard on/off' toggle. When it is ON, golfers can see the live leaderboard at the public link and it updates in real-time. When it is OFF, the public link still works but updates every 30 seconds.
Sharing the leaderboard
The Scoreboard tab shows two Live links: the Player leaderboard (share this with golfers and spectators — no login required) and the TV scoreboard (open on a TV or projector). Both update automatically.
Frequently asked questions
What if golfers lose internet connection on the course?
ScrambleSync has offline support. Scores entered without a connection are saved locally and submitted automatically when signal returns. See the article on playing offline.
Can more than one person on a team enter scores?
Yes — any team member with the code can submit scores. The latest submission for each hole wins, so the team should designate one score-keeper to avoid confusion.
How do I fix a score a golfer entered wrong?
Use manual score entry from the Scoreboard tab (expand 'Enter a team score by hand') or the dedicated Manual score entry page. Organizer-entered scores override what golfers submitted.
