Messaging and team direct messages
Quick answer
Open the Messages tab to send a broadcast to every active scorecard at once, or reply privately to a specific team. You can also enable a public message board (all golfers can post) and team-to-team direct messages from Settings → Engagement. You have silent oversight of all messages and can delete any post or DM from the Messages tab.

Broadcast to all teams
The Broadcast to all teams box on the Messages tab sends a single message that appears on every team's active scorecard instantly. Use it for pace-of-play reminders, lunch announcements, weather alerts, or any event-wide update.
Inbound messages and replies
Golfers can tap Message director from their scorecard to send you a private note. Incoming messages appear in the Messages tab under the team's name with a timestamp. An unread count badge on the tab shows how many new messages are waiting. Click Reply to respond privately to that team only. The list refreshes automatically every 15 seconds.
Public message board
The public message board is a shared event feed where all golfers can post and read messages. Turn it on or off under Settings → Engagement → Message board.
From the Messages tab you can review all posts, delete inappropriate ones, and mute individual teams (muted teams cannot post but can still read). Posts that golfers have reported appear flagged in red so you can act quickly.
Team-to-team direct messages
Team messaging lets golfers send private notes to other teams during the round. Enable it under Settings → Engagement → Team messaging.

Frequently asked questions
Do golfers need to refresh to see a broadcast?
No. Scorecards receive messages in real time — the broadcast appears on golfers' screens without any manual refresh.
Can I send a message to just one team?
Yes. Find the team's inbound message and click Reply to send a private message to that team only. You can also start a message to a specific team from the Course Map — click a team marker and select Message this team.
What happens when I delete a board post?
The post disappears immediately from the public board for all golfers. The deletion is silent — no notification is sent to the poster.
