Where to find it
Click the floating Scramble AI button in the bottom-right corner of any dashboard screen — it opens the chat panel inline without navigating away. On a tournament page the assistant is automatically scoped to that event. A saved-asks bar below the input lets you re-run your most common questions with one click.
What it can do
Scramble AI can read live tournament data and take a broad range of write actions. Read actions happen instantly; write actions pause for your confirmation before anything is saved.

Confirm-gated write actions
Any action that changes data — moving a team, sending a message, drawing a raffle winner, refunding a registration — pauses and shows a confirmation card before it runs. You see exactly what will happen and must tap Confirm. If a single request covers multiple changes (for example, 'Check in teams 4, 5, and 6'), all three changes are listed together on one card so you approve them with a single tap.
What it won't do
- Answer questions unrelated to ScrambleSync or running a golf tournament.
- Take any write action without your explicit confirmation first.
- Access data from another organization's tournaments.
- Erase data permanently, run raw database queries, or modify billing.
- Act on behalf of a different user account.
Tips for best results
- Be specific. 'Move team Birdie Brains to hole 6' works better than 'move a team'.
- If the assistant can't find a team by name, try the team number shown on the leaderboard.
- The assistant is scoped to the tournament currently open. To ask about a different event, navigate to it first, then open the Scramble AI button again.
- Use saved asks (the quick-launch bar below the input) for questions you run every event, like checking the leaderboard or broadcasting a lunchtime message.
- For how-to questions ('How do I set up skins?'), the assistant searches the built-in help guide and answers from real documentation — it won't invent steps.
Frequently asked questions
Does Scramble AI have access to all my tournaments?
The assistant operates in the context of the tournament you have open. It only sees data for that event. To ask about a different tournament, navigate to it first and then open the floating Scramble AI button.
Can it make changes without me confirming?
No. Every write action pauses for an explicit confirmation card. You must tap Confirm before anything is saved. Read-only questions (leaderboard, team lists, standings) run instantly without confirmation.
What if I accidentally confirm an action?
Many actions have an Undo option that appears immediately after you confirm. Look for the undo link in the action log below the assistant's response. Irreversible actions (like issuing a refund) do not have an undo.
