Here's how to set up a scramble in ScrambleSync, from a blank event to a live leaderboard.
0:06 Create your event
Start on your dashboard with Create tournament. Give the event a name, then pick your course from our catalog, and the holes and pars come in with it. Add your date, choose Scramble as the format, and check the review screen. Everything can be edited after you create it.
0:24 Setup checklist
Next you land on a short setup checklist. It walks you through contest holes, like longest drive and closest to the pin, then teams, your roster, and sponsors. Every step is optional, so skip anything you'd rather do later.
0:40 Generate teams
On the Teams page, pick the number of holes and teams per hole, then click Generate teams and confirm. A few seconds later you have a full shotgun start, with every team on its starting hole and its own QR code.
0:56 Import players
To add players, open Import player roster and click Download template. It already lists your teams and carts, so you just fill in names and emails. Your own spreadsheet works too, saved as a CSV. Then choose the file and click Import. All seventy two players landed on their teams, and the full list lives on the Players page, where you can edit any cell.
1:21 Cart signs
Next, cart signs. Open the sign editor, click Logo, and upload your event logo. Then drag things into place, line them up on the center guides, and adjust sizes, fonts and colors. One design gives you a sign for every cart, with its starting hole, players and QR code. Last, download the PDF and print.
1:45 Settings
Settings keeps the rest in one place: the scoring format, the rules players agree to, and which extras golfers can see, like the photo wall and share cards.
1:57 Enter scores
On the Scoreboard page you'll find your live links and the current standings. If a team turns in a paper card, enter it by hand. Pick the team, go hole by hole, and save, and the standings update.
Most groups won't need this, since players can score from their phones. Each cart's QR code opens scoring and the live leaderboard. One player per team keeps score, and anyone else who scans the same code can watch as a spectator.
2:27 Leaderboard and wallboard
Share the leaderboard link with spectators and marshals, and put the wallboard up on a TV in the clubhouse. It's built for the big screen and keeps updating through the day.
2:39 End card
Charity events run free with approval, and other events start at one hundred forty nine dollars. You can get started at scramblesync dot com. And we want to hear what your event needs, so reach out and tell us. Thanks for watching.
