Quick answer
Generating pairings assigns each team a starting hole for a shotgun start — go to the Teams tab and click 'Generate teams' to do this automatically. The Tee Sheet PDF lists every team, their starting hole, and join code. The Prize draw sub-tab (under Contests) runs a separate randomized prize drawing over checked-in players.

Shotgun pairings
In a shotgun start all teams tee off simultaneously, each from a different hole. ScrambleSync assigns starting holes when you generate teams. You can adjust any team's starting hole manually on the Teams tab by editing the hole number in their row.
Go to Teams tab
Open your tournament and click Teams under the Setup group.
Generate teams
Click Generate teams, enter the number of teams, and confirm. Teams are assigned starting holes in order (or randomly — the assignment fills every hole). If you already have teams, adjust hole numbers directly.
Review and adjust
Each team row shows its starting hole and sequence (for courses with more teams than holes, two teams may share a hole with an A/B sequence). Edit any hole assignment directly.
Tee sheet PDF
Click Tee Sheet in the top-right of the Teams tab to download a printable PDF. It lists every team with their starting hole, sequence, player names, and join code. Print one copy for each volunteer at the registration table, or post it at the pro shop.
Prize draw (separate from pairings)
The Prize draw sub-tab, found under the Contests tab, runs a randomized prize drawing over checked-in golfers — useful for sponsor prizes, door prizes, and raffles. This is separate from the pairings/hole assignment and is only available when the prize-draw module is enabled.
Open the Prize draw sub-tab
Open the Contests tab and select Prize draw. If you see 'Prize draw is not enabled', click Enable prize draw to turn it on.
Run a drawing
Click Draw a winner to randomly select one checked-in golfer from the eligible pool. The winner is shown and recorded. Draw again for additional prizes.
Exclude sponsors from the pool
Sponsor representatives in the player list are excluded from the drawing by default — the pool only includes golfer-type players who have checked in.
Frequently asked questions
Can I manually assign specific teams to specific holes?
Yes. After generating teams, edit the starting hole number directly in any team's row on the Teams tab. You can rearrange as needed — there's no automatic re-shuffle after the initial assignment.
What is the sequence field (A/B) for?
When you have more teams than holes, two teams share a starting hole. The sequence (A then B) sets the order — team A tees off first, team B tees off immediately after. This is common for large events.
Does the prize draw integrate with registration?
The draw pool is all checked-in golfer-type players in the event. If you used online registration, those players are included automatically once they're checked in.
