Frequently asked questions
Do golfers need to create an account?
No. Golfers join their team with a code or link provided by the organizer. There's no sign-up, no password, and no app to download — it works in any mobile browser.
Do sponsors need to create an account?
No. Sponsors access their sponsor portal with a link from the organizer. No account required.
How do I reset my password?
On the login page (scramblesync.com/login), enter your email address and click "Forgot password?". You'll receive a reset link by email. If you use a passkey or social login, you may not have a password — use that method instead.
Can I run multiple tournaments at the same time?
Yes, on Season, Pro, Pro + Payments, and Charity plans. Per Event is limited to one event per purchase.
How many people can score at once?
There is no hard cap on concurrent scorers. ScrambleSync has been tested with 96-golfer events under load with no errors.
Does ScrambleSync work offline?
Scores are saved locally on the device and sync when connectivity returns, so golfers can keep scoring through patchy signal. The leaderboard and GPS map require a connection to update.
How do I contact support?
Email [email protected]. We aim to respond within one business day.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. ScrambleSync runs on Supabase (managed PostgreSQL) with automated daily backups (recovery point ~24 hours). Point-in-time recovery is available from our database provider but is not currently enabled — it's planned. Tournament data is not deleted when you cancel — it remains accessible if you resubscribe.
